Christmas Holidays
Well, I cannot even begin to express how crazy things were at work as we prepared for the Christmas show. It was a stress filled time and trying to get some of my one and a half year olds to dance to a Christmas song proved very challenging, but we are finished now. YAY!
I, Emily, now have 3 weeks holiday from work until January 2nd and am looking forward to spending some quality time with God, with Hayden and with my bible, especially since the last month has been a whirlwind of activity.
I recently contacted several ministries here in Bangkok to look at opportunities to build relations and get involved in future holidays. I had hoped that I would have something organized for this holiday, but nothing has come about at this stage. I expect that I will have something sorted for my next holidays, as I continue to establish relationships, though.
I would also like to use this holiday time to try and get us more settled into our new home. The most exciting thing being that I have an oven (nearly unheard of for an apartment in Bangkok), which has resulted in mine and Hayden's waistlines expanding pretty rapidly:) But that is nothing new.
I pray that you all have (or have had by the time you read this) a wonderful time off during the Christmas season. I certainly miss the cold at this time of year - a hot Christmas is just wrong! I cannot make it normal in my mind - although Hayden thinks Christmas means a day at the beach with a BBQ, a surf board, cold beer and a group of mates - as you can imagine :) he he he
