We are so blessed
Many of you have heard our stories of how we've been blessed by God. He has never let us go needy; he has always provided for all our needs and even some of our 'wants' too.
You may remember how in awe we were that we had survived in New Zealand for 10 months after we married. We started with no money, did not earn a huge amount, and ended our time with very little, yet along the way we always had more than enough to do all the things we wanted to do for God and for ourselves.
Towards the end of our time in New Zealand, we remember looking at how much money it would require to visit Thailand for a few weeks (to look for opportunities to live and work there) on our return trip to the UK. We realised that if we were to spend nothing and save everything, we would not have enough; and yet, without financial support from others, we randomly had exactly enough when it was time to return to the UK. God is good.
We have so many examples of God providing (and probably more that we have forgotten) in so many areas (not just financial provision), but it is the times when God provides by some mysterious means rather than through other people, like in our example above, that truly blows our minds.
I only mention this now because, as well as the support we receive from people back home(s) which is a real blessing, we sometimes also receive some (often anonymous) financial support, and we want to take this opportunity to say "Thank you".
We may not always know who you are, but these gifts encourage us greatly that God is with us as we pursue him and his purpose for us here in Thailand. We look forward to the day when we have something substantial for you to see and take hold of; something that you have contributed towards, but in the meantime we simply pray that God will bless you a thousand times in return.
